Welcome to Body Mechanix Wellness Centre. We hope this will be the start of a long association.

Before your first training session, it is important for us to assess your health and fitness as your training programme will involve strenuous activity. Please inform whoever is conducting the assessment about any condition or illness that may be relevant. We will use this assessment to determine what type of physical activities you can safely do.

Training sessions must be booked in advance. We will do our best to accommodate your preferred training time. Sessions are 55 minutes. If you arrive late for your session, you will train for only the remainder of your scheduled time.

Cancellation of sessions must be made 24-hours in advance to avoid being charged for the session. You agree that you will pay monthly for booked sessions that you attended and/or failed to cancel 24-hours in advance.

A trainer will demonstrate or explain your exercise programme to you at least once during a personalised training session.  Many forms of cueing are used during a session – verbal (the movement is explained by the trainer), visual (the movement is demonstrated by the trainer) and/or tactile (appropriate and respectful touch is used by the trainer to correct your movement by guiding your body in a certain direction). During your sessions, we encourage you to ask questions, clarify any uncertainty about form or technique and, if necessary, arrange further training sessions until you are completely comfortable with the techniques and methods required to exercise effectively and safely. At any time during your training sessions you can refuse to do any exercise that you do not wish to do.

During physical training and the use of equipment, there is a risk of injury (such as muscle strains, muscle pulls, muscle tears, broken bones, shin splints, knee injuries, back injuries, foot injuries or any other injury) and, in rare instances, risks of heart attack, stroke or death. Consequently, you must stop exercising immediately during your training sessions if you feel light-headed, faint, dizzy, nauseous or experience pain or discomfort. Tell your trainer immediately what you

are feeling.
